Cheapest 9-Hour Commute from Bangkok to Siem Reap

We checked out early on our 4th day in Bangkok to catch the 05:55AM train to Aranyaprathet, the closest Thai town to the Cambodian border at Poipet. There are buses that ply directly from Bangkok to Siem Reap but we chose the train because we wanted the tour to be more indulging. We wanted to blend closely with the locals and try every public transport available. Taxi to Hua Lamphong station From Lub d Hostel in Siam Square, we took a taxi to the Hua Lamphong station of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT). The taxi was our last resort since ... Read more

5 Days and 4 Nights Hong Kong + Macau Itinerary and Guide

This Hong Kong + Macau Itinerary and Guide is based on my actual assessment on how to possibly fit-in all your “things to do” during your travel. We were a large group (15 individuals) when we traveled to Hong Kong and we fit-in all the tourist destinations in our list for just 5 days. So if you visit the place with fewer folks in the group, you can do it without cramming. Things to Note Book the earliest flight to Hong Kong. You can take Cebu Pacific which leaves Manila as early as 5:40AM daily. Research for the travel routes and ... Read more

Suggested Macau Day Tour Itinerary

We spent the day 2 of our Hong Kong+Macau Tour in Macau. I prepared the Macau day tour itinerary to fit in most of Macau’s tourist spots in one whole day. This itinerary applies for solo travelers or small groups coming from Hong Kong. Make sure that you take the earliest boat to Macau so you won’t miss something out. You can take Cotai Jet which leaves Hong Kong  as early as 06:30AM or TurboJET which leaves the city at 07:00AM. Choose Macau Ferry Terminal (not Mo Taipa Ferry Terminal) as your arrival port since all casino-operating hotels in Macau ... Read more

How to Commute in Baguio

Visiting Baguio is an expensive trip. A round trip fare from Manila to Baguio will cost you nearly a thousand pesos while the hotel accommodation may cost you another thousand or two. You still have to pay for your meals and of course, buy bring-home presents. Another expense is paying for a taxi fee for your tour, which rates peg at 2,000 to 3,500 pesos. If you are in a tight budget, you can have a one-day Baguio City tour. I prepared a one day itinerary, which is comfortable enough for your visit. Another way to save on your trip ... Read more

Baguio City One Day Itinerary

My first visit to Baguio was unplanned, and I only had a day to complete my tour. My work schedule ended at 6:00 of Saturday morning. I was on a night shift, so I had to sleep first before going to any trip. I allocated my entire Sunday to tour around the city and cross out the spots on my list. Before heading for the solo jaunt, I did some research. I looked for places that are approximately close to the downtown. An Igorot Family Sculpture at Baguio Botanical Garden On my list were: Baguio Cathedral, Baguio Botanical Garden, The ... Read more
