• gud day po.ask lang po sana ako ksi first time ko po magtotour . papunta po malaysia for 3 days lang po. dati po ako ofw kakadating ko lang po nung august. wla po ako work now,, anu po kaya hihingin na documents sakin ng immigration kung sakali.. tnx po sna mahelp nyo ako kasi this week ko na po plan papunta dun.. salamt po

  • Sorry po pero wala akong maibigay na tamang sagot. Usually, tatanungin ka ng immigration officer kung ano gagawin sa pupuntahan mong country, at kung ano trabaho mo. Hahahanap ka ng roundtrip ticket at company ID.

    Kung hindi ka nagtatrabaho ngayon, baka mas marami silang tanong, titinganan ang kakayahan mong e-fund ang biyahe mo sa labas. So mas maigi na magdala ka na lang ng sapat na pera, hotel bookings, at bank statement kung maari. Pero ‘wag niyo po agad itong ipakita, kung sakaling hahanapin lang.

    Since dati kang OFW, di ako sigurado kung makakagaan ito o makakabigat sayo. Pwede kasi nilang isipin na kaya ka lumabas ay para maka-pangapply.

    Dapat honest lang kayo sa layunin niyo. Good luck at Ingat!

    • thanks po sa reply nyo.un na nga po naoofload ako kasi wala ako mpakita na proof at dahil wala ako work di nila pinayagan kasi cguro inisip nila n mag hahanap ako ng work kahit my confirmed hotel booking na ako at roundtrip ticket at bank statement ako..#offload hhehe anyway tahnks po sa pagreply nyo.

  • Geno, we arranged everything for the tour; the itinerary, flights, and the hotels bookings. Di kami kumuha ng package niyan para may freedom kami to extend or shorten the stay per attraction site anytime we wanted to, unlike sa package tours na kailangan niyong sumunod sa sched.

    • Ok po, yun din sabi sakin ng kapatid ko para hawak po namin oras namin. anyway, next year pa naman po balak namin so we can prepare din talaga for the expenses and everything. and gusto po naming gayahin yung ginawa niyong tour 😀 just to be sure lang po, kasi first time ko din, online niyo po binook lahat (hotel and attractions)? before your flight po para pagdating ng HK is hindi na pproblemahin?

      • Tama, Geno. We book our hotels and some of our attraction passes online. Yung ibang attraction pass, binili namin dun sa hotel.

  • That will completely depend on your preparations, the type of hotel you book, food you eat, and transportation you take.

    For us, we survived 30K/person budget for 5days. That excludes the promo fare ticket we booked months in advance.

O yungg kami nlng po mismo mgpapabok ng tix, hotel room. At tix papuntang disneyland and oceanpark? San po ba kami mas mkktipid?   • Hi Nikka, For package tours, you are actually paying extra for convenience.

    Yung matitipid sa DIY ay depende sa pag-pa-plano mo. if you book your tickets and accommodations as early as possible, you may be able to get higher discounts. Tandaan, habang mas napapalapit ka na sa departure date mo, mas nagmamahal ang mga hotels. Try booking at Agoda – they have low price deals every Friday.     Budget per person will depend on your length of stay and the attractions you would like to visit.

  • Hi Angie, I see no reason for both park to be closed on Holy Week. If in doubt, you can visit their official websites for answers.

    Also, Holy Week is a high peak..The queue in the ticket booth may get too long. You can visit this article: http://goo.gl/GGC5dV if you want to purchase your tickets in advance online. Most of them offer discounts.

  • Hmmm, i’m not sure about showing a Cert. of Employment. If it’s your first time to travel abroad, the Philippine outbound immigration will look for an ID as proof of your local employment. If your badge does not have your employers name on it, then maybe you need to get a COE.

    Talk to your HR that you’ll just show it to the immigration officer, not as a requirement for visa application.

• Hi! I would like to ask regarding the tax fee. Im from Dubai, I will visit manila for 2 days then fly to HK, stay there for 5 days then fly back to Dubai. Do I need to pay any tax going to HK if I already have paid the OFW tax from Dubai? Can I just show the receipt that is attached on my passport?

  • Hmmm, that is something that I could not answer Ma’am. I am really sorry.

    However, if the OFW tax is something that you need to pay when returning and leaving the country, then, I guess, you need to settle it in PH airport.

• May I know which is more convenient and affordable for a group of 3 people? will it be purchasing a package tour deal? or just explore the place on our own?

  • Doing it your own would be more convenient. You will not worry about the time, the delays, and the slow people in the tour group.

  We’ll visit HK 1st time for 5D4N next week. Do still have the copy of your bus route map? We’re still confuse of the bus routes/number if we’ll jump from one tourist attraction to another place.

    HK has complex bus route system so it’s better that you pre-determine your destinations already. Take note of those places and look for the closest bus stop and, of course, the bus number. This site may help you determine your routes >> http://www.nwstbus.com.hk/routes/index.aspx?intLangID=1

    However, I advise you to take the more convenient MTR (Trains like MRT in the Phils). It has stations at Disney Land, the shopping district, Kowloon, the HK International Airport, etc.. Also, MTR lines are interconnected so you need not to exit the station whenever you need to hop or transfer to another MTR line.

    Rent an Octopus Card at the airport. You can use this to pay MTR and Bus Fares and purchase items from shops that accept the cards – don’t worry, there are plenty of them. The HKD50 rent for the Octopus Card and the remaining unspent value can be refunded at any MTR station.

• Hi Ian, thanks for your blogs and itineraries. We’re planning to visit HK and Macau at the same time. I would like to ask if do we need to buy prepaid sim cards there for means of communication. The plan was to visit first all HK tourist spot then Macau then back to PH. But I’ve read some travel guides and what not suggested Macau-HK-PH than HK-Macau-PH. I hope you give us some travel tips. Thanks! 🙂

  • Hi Mahj, buying prepaid SIMs is your choice. We opt not to during our visit because we pre-arranged that once we lost lost each other in the Park, we will re-group in the hotel. We also make sure that everybody is aware of the itinerary.

    Wether you choose PH-Macau-HK-PH or PH-HK-Macau-PH, either way works perfectly fine for me.

  • Hi AJ, per room yung rate. They have rooms for single occupant, double or couples, and groups with 3 or 4 members. Kailangan niyong ideclare dahil malalaman at malalaman nila. It’s like a highrise apartment or condo with multiple rooms tapos ang caretaker ay dun na rin nakatira. Yung sala ang magsisilbing reception area.
