Seeing Calaguas Again Felt Like it is a First Time
Calaguas, A tropical beauty How was/is your first love? I guess, he/she was/is the person you could hardly forget the most (if you’re no longer together) or the person that you cherish and love the most (if you both enjoy the married life). Love is at its sweetest if you are each other’s first. I know you can remember well the very detail of your first date, your first kiss, or even your fist sex (Oh, don’t raise that brows to me!). I bet you agree that your first was you most remembered and your most talked about? Seeing Calagaus, ... Read more
Navigating to Calaguas: Another Life-Threatening Boat Ride
The Risk-takers I returned to Calaguas, and I couldn’t wait for my sunburn to heal for me tell you what transpired. Would you know why? Because it was another life-threatening adventure. We sailed in a raging sea again, with waves large enough to consume the precious lives of ours. It may not be as huge as the waves we encountered in Anawangin last January 2013, but still, it did give us the same eerie feel. A friend of our companion offered us to cook for breakfast and had it ready upon arrival in Paracale, Camarines Norte. While waiting for the meal ... Read more
White Island Camiguin: A Floating Gem
From afar it shimmers, seems enticing every gazing individuals from the main island’s shore. The White Island in Camiguin is like a floating gem wherein you’ll be tempted to touch it once you see it. You want to feel its texture, dazzle its luster, seize its beauty, and experience its wonder. White Island is pure white sand island that floats 1.4 km (0.87 mi) off the northern coast of Mambajao, Camiguin’s capital. Rainy and Windy Camp in Banana Island Coron: A Throwback Post
‘Twas almost two years since we visited Coron in Palawan. I suppose to wait for three more months for me to “sigh” and say “it has been two years” but I just can’t help it. I browsed through my Facebook photos and I found some pictures (tagged by Marx) with indelible memories and I got really excited to share the story. That is why, I couldn’t wait for three months to make a throwback post about it. Since I’m three months short, maybe, I should call this a “throwback post: three months early”. We went on a remote island hopping ... Read more
Camp and Delve: Burot Beach
Aside from beach bumming and other water activities, you can also do sunset watching and star gazing in Burot beach. Being located in Calatagan, Batangas that is facing exactly west, it showcases one of the most beautiful, panoramic sunset. It is also tucked away from the bright lights of the city, thus providing you clear view of the galaxy at dusk. Just be there when the weather is favorable. August this year, we successfully carried out the first leg of PH Trails tours, the Camp and Delve: Burot Beach, with six guests; Ken, Analyn, Christian, Clarice, Erwin, and Victoria. At 6:00AM, ... Things to Do in Islas de Gigantes
Sitting in the northeastern tip of Panay Island, Islas de Gigantes is making a buzz among backpacking enthusiasts—seemingly inclining its trend towards popularity. The once unknown is making its name to the list of Philippine scenic destinations—competing with other new comers on the rise. I can’t say its virgin since the locals had long been scouting its beautiful territories before any outsiders do. Islas de Gigantes is comprised of two main island groups namely: Gigantes Norte and Gigantes Sur. The lighthouse erects in Gigantes Norte and is the home to Baquitan and Baquitan Cave, Langub beach, and Gigantes National Museum. ... Read more

Exploring the Rocks in Cabacungan Cove
After taking a relaxing dip in Cabongaoan beach and enjoying the gleeful hop in Culebra Island, we fared to Cabacungan Cove, the fourth stop of our Burgos+Dasol Pangasinan escape. The cove has rocky shores so we got off at a distance where there is enough space between the boat’s keel and the scabrous littoral seabed. We were already wet so we didn’t mind taking another drench. Rocky Beach of Cabacungan Cove The cove is primarily made of rust-colored rocks. On one end is a small cave where you can enjoy wading to its emerald water or listening to a ‘surround-sound’ ... Read more
Getting the Warmest Sun Kiss at Culebra (Collibra) Island, Dasol, Pangasinan
A friend, Marx of Marxtermind.com, invited me to a weekend Pangasinan tour with 2000-peso budget. I wasn’t skeptical in accepting the invite but had kept my expectations low. I didn’t expect to see something wondrous and didn’t reckon something pristine (Oops! Am I giving you clues?). Anyway, whenever I get travel invites, I undoubtedly give my nods without any presumptions, because, at the end of the day, it is the people you meet and the people you share the experience with matters the most. We spend the first half of Saturday travelling. We left Manila at 4AM and arrived in ... Read more
