So-net Entertainment Corporation, an internet service provider (ISP) subsidiary of Sony Corporation, has launched a fiber optic internet service that provides download speed of 2 Gbps, making it the fastest home internet in the world. The connection, which utilizes FTTH (fiber-to-home) infrastructure, is initially available in Chiba, Gunma, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Saitama in Japan. The Nuro, the commercial name of the service, speeds up the internet services of both homes and small businesses in the aforementioned territories.
