How to Commute in Baguio

Visiting Baguio is an expensive trip. A round trip fare from Manila to Baguio will cost you nearly a thousand pesos while the hotel accommodation may cost you another thousand or two. You still have to pay for your meals and of course, buy bring-home presents. Another expense is paying for a taxi fee for your tour, which rates peg at 2,000 to 3,500 pesos. If you are in a tight budget, you can have a one-day Baguio City tour. I prepared a one day itinerary, which is comfortable enough for your visit. Another way to save on your trip ... Read more

A review on HTC Explorer A310E

After a careful consideration and evaluation on whether I go for Blackberry bold 9300 or HTC Explorer, I finally decided to take the later. The only edge Blackberry has against HTC is its BBM service and since only few of my friends use Blackberry and there are other several multi-platform messaging service available in applications stores or markets, I scratched the option of having BBM on my phone. Also, I am hearing that RIM (Blackberry OS developer) is considering options of making BBM be available on other platforms like Android and iOS, though its a paid app. December 23, 2011 ... 3D Technology Without the Glasses?

Now you may ask; “Is it possible?”, the answer is; the hell yes. But before we start discussing on such possibility let us start understanding 3D technology first. 3D imaging or stereoscopy is a photography technique that presents two 2D offset images combined to give us a 3D perception. 3D films, on the other hand, is presented by two superimposed motion pictures (taken on different perspective) projected onto the same screen through different polarizing filters. 3D glasses are also polarizing filters with left and right filters oriented differently (clockwise and counterclockwise circular polarization). Each filter passes only the light which ... Read more

Collision Warning System: Not so New Technology

Shocked! That was my reaction when I came across to a Yahoo! article entitled “What the car of 2020 will look like”. Shocked not only to the article’s content itself but with the comments posted below it. Wouldn’t these people aware that this technology was been available for more than three years now? Several models were out in the market such as Lexus LS 430, 2007 Volvo S80 and S60, Mercedes-Benz’s S-Class, 2009 Lincoln MKS (photo shown) and the recent Ford Taurus and Audi A8 offers such warning system. The first release of this Precrash system (Collision warning System) technology-capable cars offer ... Read more

There is no safe place, only safe practice

Jan Beranek of Greenpeace quoted; “There is always a risk that either the technology or the nuclear materials can fall into the wrong hands”, on the new energy alternative called nuclear fusion which uses water and/or its isotopes as fuel and convert it to an extravagant amount of energy and in turn, power. Vitamin D, From the Sun?

Early morning exercise and staying under the morning sun were just few of the advises we got from our elementary mentors. We were taught that such activities help us get vitamin D from the sun. Does vitamin D really comes from the sun? Truth is, the only particle that the sunlight carries are photons and I don’t think that vitamin D is made up of these photons. Vitamin D, is a group fat soluble secosteroid, which means a form of steroid, that is derived from cholesterol. Vitamin D3, for instance, is made in the skin when 7-dehydrocholesterol (a form of ... Do not Jailbreak iOS 4.3.2 with SnOwbreeze

Something happened to my iPod Touch 4G (read the story here) so I decided to restore it, of course with the latest Apple Firmware, the iOS 4.3.2. Since AppStore apps are really expensive, especially for me who just wanted to try then delete if I don’t like the app, I’d jailbreak with SnOwbreeze 2.6 for me to use cracked apps. I tried using redsnOw 0.9.6rc14 however it could not recognize the iOS platform I do have. Good thing that I had successfully jailbroke my iPod and I can see Cydia and Installous in my apps. I can also use free ... Read more
