Star Telecom Alliance Resources, Inc., a Filipino maker of dual-SIM phones, recently released a tough and performing Starmobile Diamond which will add to its collection of Android-powered smartphones.

Starmobile diamond features a 5-inch, HD (1280×720) and scratch-resistant Dragontrail display. Dragontrail is a toughened glass, engineered for the combination of thinness, lightness, and damage-resistance. It is develop by Asahi Glass Co. to compete with Corning’s Gorilla Glass. The display provides quality gaming and video streaming streaming experience, though, the actual pixel density isn’t revealed.

The device is equipped with 12-megapixel rear and 3-megapixel front cameras which are both enhance with back-illuminated sensor (BSI) for improved low-light performance.

It is powered by Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) which run smoothly with 1GHz MTK6577H dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The phone storage is 4GB but is expandable up to 32GB.

Starmobile Diamond, like most of its predecessors, is dual-standby dual-SIM smartphone. However, its is unclear if both SIMs can be configured for 3G or HSDPA.

The introductory price is PhP9,990.00
