Pagudpud Tour Cycle: See Pagudpud Wonders for 600 Pesos

I spent the third day of my Ilocos Tour in northern Laoag. That includes the towns of Bangui, Burgos, and Pagudpud. The Laoag-Pagudpud v/v terminal is located near the corner of Gen. Antonio Luna and Gov. Julio Agcaoili Streets (back of Ilocos Norte Capitol). First Trip leaves at 8AM, travel time is 2 hours, and costs around PhP 60.00. Make sure to prepare the exact fare, bus conductors don’t usually return your change when you don’t ask for it especially when they know you’re a tourist.

Pagudpud Tour Cycle Rates

I took the first trip and arrived in Pagudpud town passed 10 o’clock. I got off in front of Pugudpud Municipal hall (locals call it Centro). I took a tricycle ride to Saud Beach to take some photographs of Pagudpud’s most scenic treasures. The fare is PhP 60.00 but along the way, Mang Amante, the trike driver, showed me the placard of Pagudpud Tour Cycle (a local government project that involved the tricycle drivers in their tourism program) that offers a tour to Pagudpud’s 8 tourists spots for only 600 pesos good for 2-3 persons. I was alone so I ask Mang Amante to include my trip to Saud Beach as a discount.

Our First stop (well, technically, second…to Saud Beach) was Kabigan Falls. I suggest you bring with you swim wears for you to experience the cold and relaxing waters of the falls. The entrance is 10 pesos while the tour guide is PhP100.00 for the 1-hour (v/v) trek to the falls (exclude your staying hours). We then proceeded to Patapat Viaduct, Agua Grande, Paraiso ni Anton, Timmangtang Rock, Bantay Abot Cave, Blue Lagoon, and Dos Hermanos Islands. The tour I availed was the Pagudpud Northbound Tour.

Southbound tour, which includes; Bangui Windmills and View Deck and Cape Bojeador Lighthouse (Burgos Town), also cost 600 pesos. I didn’t take this tour because the enlisted tourist spots are just along the way of Pagudpud to Laoag trip. Though the sites are few kilometers away from the bus’ drop off points, there are tricycles that offer trips to these spots at lower price. Going to Bangui Windmills, for instance, costed 100 pesos for a v/v trip. An this goes the same for a trip to Kapurpuran Rock Formation. Cape Bojeador Lighthouse, on the other hand, is just few meters trek from the highway.

If you have plans to spend the night in Saud Beach, Pagudpud, the room that is good for 3 pax is 2000 to 2600 pesos. Room rates depend on the season which, of course, peak seasons have higher fees.
