My 4-day Ilocos Tour started in Paoay and ended in Laoag City. I didn’t take a travel agency and I visited most of Ilocos tourists spots by commuting. Below is my quick Ilocos itinerary.

Day 1: (Laoag South, Paoay, and Batac)

  • 02:00PM – Arrival in Laoag City (Flight 5J 404)
  • 02:30PM – Hotel Check-in
  • 03:00PM – Commute to Paoay
  • 03:45PM – Arrival in Paoay and take some photos of San Agustin Church
  • 04:00 – 06:00PM – Trip to Malacañang of the North, Paoay Lake View Deck, and Sand Dunes (Tour Cycle Fare is PhP 200.00)
  • 07:00 – Arrival in Laoag Hotel, Dinner, Free Time

Day 2: (Vigan)

  • 07:00AM – Left Laoag to Vigan (Bus Fare is PhP 100)
  • 09:30AM – Arrival in Vigan
  • 10:00AM – 12:00PM Baluarte, Pottery, Cloth Weaving, Hidden Garden, Bantay Bell Tower, and Baluarte Tour (Tour Cycle fee is PhP 150.00 per hour or PhP 80.00 per site.)
  • 12:00PM – Lunch, Rest
  • 01:30PM – Vigan City Tour by Kalesa (PhP 150.00 per hour)
  • 02:30PM – Museum Tour (Birthplace of Fr. Burgos and Crisologo Museum)
  • 04:30PM – 6:00PM – Free Time (waiting for the dusk to take photos of Vigan at night time)
  • 06:00PM – 7:00PM – Kalye Crisologo Tour and Dinner (taking night shots of the World Heritage site)
  • 07:30PM – 9:45PM – Travel back to Laoag (Partas Bus)
  • 10:00PM – Free Time, Sleep

Day 3: (Pagudpud, Bangui, Burgus Tour)

  • 08:00AM – Bus Leaves Laoag to Pagudpud
  • 10:20AM – Bus arrival in Pagudpud
  • 10:30AM – 2:00PM – Tour Cycle (Kabigan Falls, Patapat Viaduct, Aqua Grande, Paraiso ni Anton, Timmangtang Rock, Bantay Abot Cave, Blue Lagoon, and Dos Hermanos Island for PhP 600.00)
  • 02:00PM – Late Lunch
  • 02:30 – Travel to Bangui and tricycle ride to Bangui Windmills
  • 04:00 – Bus Travel to Burgos and Tricycle ride to Kapurpuran Rock Formation
    (Note: You can arrange with the Tricycle driver of your Bangui Windmills Tour to bring you to Kapurpuran for another fee)
  • 05:00 – Travel back to Laoag (If you are determined enough, you can get off to see Cafe Bojeador Lighthouse) I worried for not catching the last bus trip so I just look at the lighthouse at the bus window.

Day 4: (Laoag and Departure)

  • 06:00AM – Jog or stroll around Laoag
  • 07:00AM – Breakfast
  • 08:00AM – Ilocos Museum and Laoag Cathedral
  • 10:00AM – Preparation for Check Out
  • 12:00PM – Hotel Check out and Travel to Airport
