After approving the .xxx generic TLD (top level domain) focused for adult entertainment and pornography websites, iCANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) is receiving additional applications from ICM Registry (the same company behind .xxx) to launch .sex, .porn, and .adult web suffixes. The three aforementioned domains where just few to anticipate since there are other IT companies wanted their brands enlisted.
The instigation of bespoke adult domains will be easier for the patrons to remember and navigate thus; this may bring the cybersex business in its brightest limelight. Children too, especially those who have unrestricted access of the internet, may easily find these sites.
Uniteddomains.com, a domain registrar, already accepts .adult, .sex, and .porn pre-registrations which they expect to go online by 2013. GoDaddy and Moniker offers .xxx domain for around $100 a year.

On the other hand, Google is applying for a .google, .youtube, .docs, and .lol primarily to protect its own trademarks and core businesses. Cloudnames applied for .cloud and .global while Web.com applies for .web along with Radix. In addition to .web, Radix also applies for .law, .music, .movie, .app and many others for a total of 31 gTLD applications.
