I understand why Yahoo! let the users themselves to decide on keeping or hiding comments on any Yahoo! articles. Through thumbs up or down, comments can be hidden or continuously shown in the threads. The more the thumbs down (negative rating), the greater the tendency for a comment to be hidden. It is democracy and we are in a democratic country so fair enough.
But what if those comment are getting below the belt and only few people have given time to give such comment a thumbs down, such comment will continue to appear on the thread. Freedom of expression, as they say, but it is beyond limits. Profanity for example, as constantly practiced by Xes In The City on all his/her Yahoo! comments and trolls, are completely unacceptable.
Cussing, swearing, and cursing are always shown on every comment posted by Xes In The City especially when he is engaged in word war (comment war) with his/her fellow commenters on Yahoo! Philippines. Yahoo! patrons like MELVILLE, Stupid Buster, Asiong Salonga, and many other users are frequently caught in a virtual fight with Xes In the City. Another user named Xes practiced the same.
The sample comments shown are only few of Xes In The City’s profane words published on the site.
Is there a way should Yahoo! ban this rude individual on their site? I do hope because I am officially signing the petition.
