Republic Act 10158 or an act decriminalizing vagrancy which amends Article 202 of the Revised Penal Code was signed by the President on the 27th of March 2012. The said law also iterates criminal punishment to prostitutes which angered Gabriela Women’s Party (GWP). PNoy, by penning R.A. 10158, actually affirmed that prostitute women are criminals.

coat of arms of the philippines

Undeniably, the Philippines is blessed with natural resources. Being one of the top 10 biologically mega-diverse countries, the nation has more than 100 mammal species and 170 bird species that are endemic to its territory – a zesty tourists lure. noynoying

Noynoying, in courtesy for those who heard the word for the first time, are gestures used to mimic the inaction or the “laziness” of the president in addressing various issues of the country like surging oil prices. This includes PNoy’s relaxed sitting and smoking position and the copied popular 500-peso bill gesture of his father. Thus, the Philippines’ claim over Spratlys or part of Spratlys is illegal, declared Spratlys.org (a website advocating for Nansha Islands of China, China’s name for Spratlys).

Severus Snape

Wow! I don’t read the books so I only found this out when I saw the final installment of Harry Potter Series- Severus Snape is protecting Harry Potter from the very beginning. He is Hogwart’s Potions Master, though he is widely rumoured to covet the Defence Against the Dark Arts post as shown in the first book.

Freedom Symbol

I watched Balitanghali early this afternoon on GMANews.tv and I found one irritating comment from one of their twitter followers. The news is about the prenuptial photos proliferating over the internet which were shot at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. Several people are sensitive on these since they found it rude and a form of disrespect to the history’s heroes.
